So I’m coming close to the end of the year and FINALLY the end of the blogging for once a day, I’ve gotten to thinking about what to do next year… and Hodge on the Run was born.
Here’s the idea so far, its not 100% set in stone but I really like it at the moment.
Next year I will do 12 decent length runs (well… mostly decent) starting at 10km and increasing each month in length. Now the idea behind this is not only to stop me having a 30 minute recovery rate every time I run up the stairs (to be fair, there is a lot of stairs), I also want to raise quite a bit of money for charity.
Rather than go cap in hand As well as going cap in hand for sponsorship of this most noble of causes, nothing makes people empty the wallet (or purse) faster than someone making a tit of themselves (or a celebrity eating kangaroo bollocks).
So each month we will have an auction, the winner of the auction will choose the fancy dress I wear for the run (with a FEW exceptions)..
I hate running… I did the North Run a while ago (and will probably do it this next year) and while I enjoyed the atmosphere… I fecking hated the running bit.

Wow, that’s quite a commitment for someone who hates running. I occasionally run and although I the good feeling afterwards of having done something healthy I still bloody hate it. Good luck and maybe I might join you one run just for the sake of it.

Good on yer, cobber!
Stick a justgiving URL up on your blog and I’ll put my hand in my pocket. Oh, and I want video interviews posted on youtube after each run too.
