When I said at Christmas that I would post one post a day for 2009, I knew that not every post would be a gem and not everyday would be a proper article, but recently I’ve noticed that the quality of my updates are poorer than they were in march and feb (and they weren’t too good to begin with).
I’ve been thinking a lot this week about what it is thats brought me to this “blogging wall”
Its not lack of things to say or progress plan, You`ll notice that a lot of my posts are written around 11pm because usually I forget, have done since I started this task and its worked pretty well, I only schedule things when I go away for a bit (and sometimes even that doesn’t work!)
Its a combination of being in the middle of a new job, preparing for thinkvisibility in september and well, just being lazy.
There is a hell of a lot of stuff going on events wise and life wise and I’m starting to wonder if I’m at the point now where I need to not go to everything I can and start… doing other things instead.
Going to geekups and barcamps is a fantastic experience and each one is different, I’ve met some friends and made some good partnerships but is the time I spend going to this being sacrificed on a project or idea or even post I should be working on..
I guess I`ll have to think more about this over the weekend… at Barcamp NorthEast.

I know a lot of bloggers who have gave up and started to use twitter on a daily basis as its quick and easy. Don’t give up as a daily dose of the Hodge is a good thing
I’d miss my daily dose of Thehodge too. Personally am wondering how the keep fit regime manages to assert itself in the daily grind of work/fun.
Just a line or two here as well as via twitter will fill your 365 Blog promise and also punctuate the 24/7 of those at a distance from your 7/52 life.
Hey, keep in there Dom – there’s some of us (surrogate family) want to hear about your exploits eg TheHodge & Tim Nash this weekend for example! It isn’t all grim ‘UpNorth” btw…..
Just let us know if you’re taking an online ‘break’ it’s your life after all.
We are going to Barcamp North East how could we possibly get up to mischief…
6 little chefs, 4 weatherspoons, the a1 and a smart car that wants to die from exhaustion and we are out drinking the night before.
I can see nothing that will go wrong.
Keep going to geekups, barcamps and conferences. They are great experiences and exactly the type of stuff you should be blogging about.
It is only via your blog, that I’m into Northern SEM and then from that attending a Northern blogging meet for the first time.
