You can always tell you’ve been to an event with Geeks when you wake up the next morning and theres pictures of you on flickr which you don’t remember posing for…

So last night was GeekUp Leeds, before I rip apart the terrible evening (only joking!), I gotta say cheers to deb and rob (mostly deb though) for organising the event, Wow were there a lot more people there than I thought there would be, it was a good crowd with no barriers, you just buy a beer and join a conversation… well thats what I did.

It was a strange feeling when you mentioned your an SEO to a web development crowed… some people are confused.. some people slowly back away, some people shrug and some people say… “so your a spamming bastard” which is nice

I’m looking at getting to these as much as possible, with BarCampLeeds, OpenCoffeeLeeds, GeekUpLeeds and I’d love to organise a geek dinner GeekChowLeeds or something…

I’ll do more of a wrap up later, the cheery beer is still in my system and I have some content to copy into a template… A LOT of content
