The Future of Search

Last night was Ignite Leeds and I did a bit on what I believe is the Future of Search, I don’t know why but someone asked for the slides so here they are 

I’d write a bit more of a commentry but I’m off to see some husky racing soon :)

    I agree with you that the future is local awareness and mobile technology. Today one of the problems that we face is how to process unstructured data to get location information. Google is doing well in the USA and Europe and you can use their API (with all the restrictions though), but in other countries there is still no way to get that structured information (for example to query geodesic coordinates for pizza places ). Both, using the already existing data to create smart apps and to create the indexes where there is no local search are good opportunities IMHO.
