I got some criticism recently from someone who said I was a bit too self promoting… so to prove her right I thought I’d do another MEEE! post (after all it is my blog), its about 1am and I cannot sleep..
So 10 things
1. My last name hasn’t always been Hodgson (it was changed 3 years ago due to family reasons) I was however born Hodgson)
2. I have reduced hearing in both ears (i believe the technical term is perforated ear drum, its not the sole reason for me been a loud bastard but it helps)
3. I have quite severe dyslexia (apparently) (I was talking about this the other day and in my last year of college I was taken to do some tests, the maximum was 300, anything below 150 was dyslexic and anything above was “normal”, I got a 3)
4. I’m writing this in my underwear (Picture that in your mind… black boxers
o yes ladies)
5. I’m a huge country music fan (that’s new country and I will be blogging about that soon)
6. I believe in God (but seriously don’t get hung up on this one, I’m not one of those reborn guys who will try and convert you and get offended at Jesus jokes… I have my beliefs, you have yours… lets all get along and make cake!)
7. I feel I’ve missed out a lot in life without having a proper father around and still feel an emptiness where family is concerned.. (woah! that got a bit emotional there, lets skip onto the next one)
8. I love pina colada’s and getting caught in the rain
9. Before online marketing, I worked in childcare, working for a part of Mencap with children with disabilities, I also won a volunteer of the year award for part of this work before it became my job.
10. I’d be lost without Heather and my life wouldn’t be the same nor as stable as is it now, I wouldn’t have gone to uni and I wouldn’t have done half the things I’d done without her, she may be shy but bloody hell shes given me the balls to do stuff (metaphorically of course.. she doesn’t physically give me “courage balls”)

I’ve got reduced hearing in both ears too - I guess it helps with coding to be able to ignore distracting sounds
Nightmare for social interaction though.

Woo, I knew two of these
I’m upset that you didn’t put one about having the hots for me in there though but I understand it’s a sensitive subject

I wonder if there is a trend in geeks for hearing issues?
Myself I’m partially deaf in my left ear, and had quite severe glueear for quite a number of years as a child. (It really stops you socialising at school, can’t hear anyone properly!)
Or maybe its just that only geeks talk about such issues on the internet.
Unrelated: Seeing as Peter is your (unofficial) stalker and only knew two of these, what the hell does that make me seeing as I know ~6 of them?!
