Happy New Year and all that bollocks!

January 1st, 2009

HAPPY NEW YEAR… everyone else seems to have done a post like this so I thought I’d update you, 2008 was a great year for me (more than likley because I’m not in the financial services) but I’m hoping 2009 will be better, I’ve been asked to speak at a few conferences and heck I’m even organising one of my own (which has now sold out!).

I plan to take 2009 a bit more seriously, not serious in the fact that I won’t allow pictures of me to be posted on the internet but serious in the fact that I think its about time I did something and stuck to it, Theres a lot of projects I’ve worked on that have been scrapped and left to the wayside for one reason or another (this blog being one of them).

2009 I’m going to do a “project 365″, I’d decided to do one the other week but only taking photographs, nah.. my 365 will be this blog, I’m going to update it once a day for a whole year, it might not be a blog post, it might be a video, picture, collection of links but it will be updated (in previous years I’ve done other silly things like give up chocolate for a year and the great north run).

I’m gonna give the blog a bit of a makeover in a few days/weeks and take this blogging lark a bit more seriously (but don’t think I’m actually going to spell + grammar check my posts) heres some aims

  • 200 RSS readers in 6 months
  • 500 Twitter followers in 6 months
  • a website / webapp that makes £5 a week by September
  • 500 Comments on the blog (currently have 144)

What do you think?, what are you aiming to do

I’m doing a 365 pictures project, and hopefully gonna get one or two things completed this year that I’ve had on the back burner for a while. Not only web-apps but Mac apps and a couple of iPhone apps hopefully.
