PowerPoint Karaoke

One of the most fun things that happened at Barcamp was a bout of early morning PowerPoint Karaoke, for those who know not what this term means,

The victim is handed a mic and the first slide of a random PowerPoint presentation (either found on the Internet or taken from other peoples presentations at the conference) its important that the person (and usually the audience) hasn’t seen the presentation before..

The presenter then has to “present” the presentation adlibbin and generally guessing the story, facts and what the hell the graphs mean…

It was hugely enjoyable and I had two goes, I’m a HUGE fan of improv and am currently working on getting something together video / group improv wise (if you’d like to be part of it, let me know).

So my intention is to run a session on this at Barcamp Brighton this weekend as one of the organisers of the Leeds Barcamp, it will be interesting to see how one runs down south.

I think you’ll struggle to find one that tops the christian one Tom Scott ended up presenting. That was hilarious :)
