I’m fine with video ads on tv shows, I think that a 30 second ad for a 10 second youtube clip will never work but its rare that that happens.
Todays company that has pissed me off is MTV.com, as a big Reddit fan I followed a thread to this blog here http://pixelatedgeek.com/2009/07/silent-library-finally-a-good-show-on-mtv/ which has 3 clips embedded of a very funny TV show..
I only got to see one clip though because the other two are regionally locked to the united states.. thats fine, I’m used to that.
What I take issue with MTV is you showing me a fucking 30 second ad for fecking coco pops before you tell me this little bit of information, I’m sure the increased ad exposure is great compared to the money you`ll save with bandwith for not actually showing any fecking video but your seriously taking the piss.

Having just looked at the link Dom, I totally agree. Advertising like this makes me mad, on a different note, on youtube, every other video I watched today has a massive ballon covering almost all the video, wats the point of putting a video online you cant even see. It definately turns me away from wanting to visit watever site the link in the ballon is showing.
